What is
HackShield?
HackShield is a serious game for children aged 7 to 12, where they learn how to navigate the digital world through play. Not from fear, but from insight and confidence.
Children discover how phishing works, why fake news spreads, and what they can do to keep themselves and others safe online.
Where to play HackShield
At home, children learn independently by playing the game
Often right at the kitchen table. They discover how the online world works, what to trust, and how to stay safe. What they learn doesn’t stop there. It sparks conversations with parents, grandparents, and caregivers, who often learn just as much.
At school, children play class quests together
They learn from each other, share experiences, and tackle challenges as a team. Online safety becomes more than something you learn, it becomes something you actively practice and talk about together. Lessons are led by teachers or guest lecturers from the field, bringing real world experience into the classroom.
In libraries, children step into an interactive AR quest about disinformation
They discover how fake news spreads, what to trust, and how they can make a difference themselves. By moving, exploring, and actively searching for information, learning becomes not only more fun, but also more lasting.
